Hello, my name is May from Pure Joy Naturopathy, practising Naturopathy, Chair Yoga and Reiki & Ayurvedic massage.
Teaching Chair Yoga has become one of my passions because I’ve gone through some difficulties practising yoga on the mat. When I tried chair yoga for the first time, I thought it was a great yoga style for people who are not able to do mainstream styles of yoga.

The chair yoga class is a gentle and meditative activity. It is excellent for seniors, or for people who have limited mobility.
The breathing technique will assist in easing anxiety. Taking good care of our mental health is as vital as looking after our physical health to become more resilient and adapt to a new environment.

For many years, I have had a strong passion for helping those who wish to pursue a better, more confident version of themselves, whether they are looking to improve their physical health, athletic performance, or their mental health needs a lift up. Throughout each day, my passion grows stronger, as I continue to meet new people who have a unique reason “why” they make the choice to make improvements.

I believe there is strong connection between exercising, and the impact it has on one’s mental health- plenty of studies and experience shows us that when we exercise and choose to move, it gives us that “feel-good” energy within us.

More directly, in my personal life, I have two younger brothers whom are NDIS participants themselves, working along side them and assisting them through physical activity, not only gives them the benefits of building strong bodily awareness, but gives them, a sense of independence, confidence, and again, the feel-good energy, as they continue to make greater improvements and advance through a carefully modified, well-constructed training program/sessions within my interactions.

Within my sessions, I involve a lot of what they LIKE to do, and closer to what their interests might be (whether it be basketball, bowling, football) and design simple, effective, and most importantly enjoyable sessions they love to participate in. It’s as equally important to understand what a participant current capacities or abilities are in performing certain movements and general cognitive responses, and work along side this, applying appropriate approaches.

Not everyone has the same goal when it comes to fitness, and personal training, some people may choose to become a body builder, some more directed at athletic goals, and others, may just want to go in to improve their general health and well-being.

I don’t make programs in a copy and paste sessions- although it maybe easy and convenient to do so, I see this as missed opportunity for people to achieve what they are aiming to achieve.

I find it captivating, and inspiring for participants to have a go at physical activity- not just for the improvements it does for the body physically, but what it does for the mental health!

Hayley has experience completing major home modifications, assessing for complex assistive technology and completing reporting for adults with complex needs.

🟡 OT Mel – on maternity leave, returning 2027

Mel has worked in both rural and metro settings. She has experience in autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, global developmental delay, sensory processing, and self-regulation difficulties, and has a particular interest in routine-based goals such as toileting, sleep and play. Mel works with clients across the lifespan but her specific interests lie with paediatric therapies (9yrs+). She loves to find unique, creative and engaging ways to approach therapy to make it fun for everyone.

As a recent graduate, Keera has had diverse clinical experiences working in both rural and metro settings. Though her time spent with the Neurorehabilitation unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital really focused her skills and interests within this area. Keera has experience with cognitive and functional assessments and reporting, assistive technology and ongoing therapies with adults.

TransitCare is an innovative, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing transport to people who have difficulty getting around. We also have a social support programme for those looking to enjoy some time away from home.

We are a registered provider of Assist-Travel/Transport in the NDIS. Once you receive your NDIS plan, you will also receive funding to pay for the transport included in your plan.

Please advise your planner that TransitCare is your preferred transport provider.

Our fleet of Community Flyers travel throughout Brisbane South, Logan and Redlands Cities, Townsville, Charters Towers, Ingham and CAIRNS, enabling people to remain connected to their communities.  These fully customised vehicles include cars, wheelchair accessible vehicles and buses. At times of peak demand, we may also use taxis to deliver our services.

Our pre-booked, door-to-door service allows you to travel to the bank or post office, to hospital and medical appointments, the pharmacy, shopping, social and recreational outings, the gym, swimming or the library, the hairdresser, veterinary appointments, or on group outings.

We also offer regular, fun social outings, a friendly and entertaining programme at TransitCare Head Office and more extended Community Flyer Adventures to interesting and beautiful locations.

Our Community Flyers can meet your needs if you are eligible but have difficulty travelling to appointments because you can no longer drive or safely use public transport.  You must still be able to travel independently or with your carer, and be happy to travel with others.

At Treehouse Theraplay we are Social Worker’s and counsellors, we work from a neuroaffirming framework and value neurodiversity.  We specialise in working with children, teens and families and are a family focused clinic.  We are all experienced practitioners with extensive training in Creative Therapies that include Certified training in Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Focused Psychological services i.e. CBT, DBT, Solution focused therapies, Sandplay Therapy and Symbol Work, Dance and Movement therapy.

CYCAS Circus is Far North Queensland's professional youth circus troupe formed in 2004 by founder and director Patti Burnheim.

Kerry - As well as being a support worker, for many years I worked as a beauty therapist and massage therapist. I have run my own business as a salon owner and had home-based salon’s. When I began changing careers, I thought I was leaving my beauty days behind me. But I soon realised that having these skills has meant I can add another level of support to my clients. For example, being able to give someone a massage on the days they have physical discomfort, or when feeling anxious or overloaded. This has been hugely beneficial. My interests are healthy food and cooking, theatre, running and hiking, music, reading, crafts, and wellness. I have varied experience so far including acquired brain injuries, progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), schizophrenia, hearing impaired, intellectual disabilities and dementia.
Jason – Before support work throughout my working life I have always strive to provide excellent service to clients and customers, from an extensive career in hospitality as a chef to running my own commercial surface cleaning business to working in retail and now as a support worker. Some of my hobbies include playing drums and music, cooking, gardening, fishing, outdoor activities such as camping swimming and some hiking. My experience so far has been with mental health, schizophrenia, drug and alcohol abuse, intellectual disabilities and hearing impaired. I also participate in a range of outdoor activities and sports with clients.
