At Cairns Trauma and Clinical Psychology, our team of psychologists and social workers caters to clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. They possess many skills in handling a wide range of mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, psychosis, eating disorders, grief and loss, childhood and life traumas, workplace/school stress, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and coping with challenging life transitions.

Rachel uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy, mindfulness and compassion-based therapies, eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), and internal family systems (IFS) approaches. She provides therapy to both adult and adolescent clients, with a particular interest in treating trauma-related disorders. Recently, Rachel has started incorporating Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) into her practice, training her therapy dogs

Her primary focus is on trauma and complex mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. She has a wealth of experience working with clients who have suffered trauma, anger management, life transitions, drug and alcohol counselling, and stress management.
She employs a range of evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR)

Carina has experience in treating depression and anxiety disorders, personality. disorders, autism spectrum disorder, trauma and bipolar disorder.
