Konnect Em Services Pty Ltd., we are a registered NDIS service provider, based in Cairns. I am excited to embark on this new journey. Although new, I have a strong team of dedicated and experienced workers who have been in the industry for quite some time who share the same passion as I.
 
My background is in child protection and behaviour support practice in NDIS. I have a Master’s in Social Work, Graduate Certificate in Human Services Management, and a Bachelor’s in Business – HRM.
 
I am originally from Papua New Guinea (PNG) and have been in cairns for the past 23 years.
In saying this, I’m proud to say that majority of my team are from PNG and are hard workers and are passionate about the helping and caring work and services they provide. They believe that it’s important to connect with the participant and truly deliver work from the heart in a consensus and collective way.
 
Our motto that describes the guiding principles of the company, derives from the ‘Motu’ language of Papua New Guinea; Bahetura, Baheduru, Bahavaraia.
Bahetura means ‘relationship’ – We believe it is vital to have a good relationship with the people we support. Having good relationships creates respectful friendship and connections that help to inspire positive outcomes and builds trust that allows our participants to have the confidence to count on us. We honour these qualities in our services by strongly incorporating good relationship traits of awareness, empathy, communication, dependability, accountability, and honesty.
 
Baheduru means ‘support’- It takes courage, faith, and confidence for one (worker) to be patient enough to provide care services for an individual in need of support to help them achieve their goals, especially in the disability sector. We believe this plays a big part in social change and growth when we deliver support services with care, integrity and congeniality that promotes equal opportunity to help build a sense of confidence in people as they cultivate a sense of belonging.
 
Bahavaraia means ‘success’ – We pride ourselves with the quality of services we provide in caring for our participants and successfully meeting their short and long-term goals. We do this with a holistic approach in considering their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing. We promote a culturally safe and appropriate practice standards to our First Nations people and the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background people and celebrate with them the small and big wins.  However, our services are tailored around a person-centred approach that promotes the client’s best interest, choice, and control on how, where and when they want to achieve the best outcomes through a collaboration effort.

Domestic supports - household chores, cleaning indoors/outdoors, cooking healthy meals, meal preps, laundry
Social supports – social activities, transport to activities and medical appointments etc.
Personal Care - bathing and personal grooming, Medication Administration
Support coordination - appointment management, referrals, goal setting, assessing needs, direct consumer care, implementing behaviour support plans.
