WWL is about bringing humans and animals together in a safe and meaningful way.
There's lots to be learnt from animals, we just have to slow down and appreciate the process.
As a Social Worker, I offer counselling, as well as opportunities and activities with animals, nature... and just a place to be heard, feel safe, and be yourself. Sometimes that's the most important of all.
Appointments are held on-site. Generally no outreach or tele-health, but not out of the question.

Lara Baker (Social Worker & Psychotherapist) invites you to a safe, quiet outdoor sanctuary in Speewah.
Away from the pressure of the everyday world, we provide a calm environment where you can finally take a big breath out.
How we support you:
🟡 No Pressure to "Perform": In the paddock, there are no rigid plans. We let things settle naturally, giving you the space to reveal your true self at your own pace.
🟡 A Grounded Environment: Horses don’t judge or wear masks. Their honest presence creates a safe container for you to explore your feelings and find your footing.
🟡 Learning Awareness: By watching the herd, you learn to notice your own subtle signs of stress. You practice "shaking off" tension and setting boundaries without the weight of guilt.
🟡 Consent & Respect: Interaction is never forced. Our horses—Ready Boss, Huey, Ice, and Ra Ra—choose how they engage, modeling a relationship where everyone’s needs are respected.
🟡 Real-Life Change: The paddock is a gentle testing ground. The awareness you find here helps you make new choices in your real-life relationships and daily world.
🟡 In-Person (Speewah): Experience therapy in a safe, serene outdoor sanctuary.
🟡 Telehealth: I offer flexible Video or Phone sessions for those who prefer to connect from the comfort of their own home.
🟡 Approach: My work is grounded in reflective practice, somatic awareness, and helping you find congruence—where your internal feelings match your external life.
🟡 Training for Organisations
🟡 I draw on over 20 years of experience in the community sector to provide specialized training for teams and organisations. Available upon request, these sessions focus on:
🟡 Effective Team Dynamics: Building trust and authentic communication.
🟡 Self-Care & Resilience: Practical tools for the modern workplace.
🟡Avoiding Burnout: Recognising subtle signs of stress and implementing sustainable boundaries.
