Children's health and physical education classes across Cairns and the Far North.
FitKidz is a great option for children who may not be interested in team or competitive sports, It is also an excellent addition to the routine of children who play sports.
Classes are run at NLTA on Saturday morning in line with school terms.

Physical activity promotes healthy growth and development. It helps build a healthier body composition, stronger bones and muscles. Our FitKidz program is the perfect introduction to sport and exercise, it is designed to give children a positive introduction to exercise. Most of all, our classes are fun and social!

Claims are made under the Community Access, Social and Recreational activities item number (04_104_0125_6_1) for accessibility and ease. Other item numbers can be claimed and service agreements can be modified at the participants or support coordinators request (under the same rate).
Personal Training Services:
Personal Training services are provided by Ryan Sciacca. Ryan holds a B. Exercise and Sport Science, and has extensive personal training and sports training experience with NDIS participants and the wider community. Ryan provides services which adopt evidence-based practices to develop effective exercise programs and interventions to improve bodily function and ability. These can be specifically tailored to participants with bodily deficits or conditions. Services also include specialized exercise plans aimed at achieving participants physical and mental wellbeing goals. This assures participants they are provided with a specific plan which suits a wide range of goals, including general health, function, fitness needs, and rehab protocols. Ryan can also tailor plans which improve fitness requirements needed to participate in a specific sport/ recreation that a participant may be involved in. Additionally, if a participant needs training services to work in conjunction with exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, or other allied health professionals, Ryan can assist in following a set out exercise plan correctly.
Personal Training services are run out of Genesis Smithfield and available from 7 am to 6 pm. Participants will be able to meet new people and make friends in a social environment if they choose to do so. Facilities are disability friendly, airconditioned, 24/7 access, and facilitate strength, cable, machine, and cardio machine equipment. Participants who do regular sessions with Results Fitness Training will be allocated a free membership and key tag, so they are able to access the facilities on their own, or with other carers if they choose to do so.
Community Participation, Indoor/ Outdoor Recreational Services:
Community Participation services are aimed to provide capacity building support which allows participants to choose outdoor/ indoor activities which benefit participants specific wants and needs, and which are suited participants abilities. Both low impact and higher impact activities are available, and plans are flexible to develop along with the participants’ needs and goals. This includes general physical and recreational activities such as bike riding, hiking, walking/ jogging, bowling, swimming, frisbee and any other physical activities participants may choose. Other options include engaging in community services, such as providing support for individuals who may want to join soccer, basketball, hockey, swimming teams or other recreational groups. Access to community participation allows for a fun and engaging mode of physical exercise, aimed at improving participants overall fitness, well-being, social skills, and community engagement.
Community Participation services are provided throughout the Cairns region, allowing participants to choose their preferred type of activity.

Wild Skills Australia provides structured, nature-based capacity-building experiences for adolescents and adults who benefit from practical, real-world learning in outdoor environments.
Sessions are intentionally small and personalised, focusing on confidence, communication, decision-making, executive functioning, social connection, community participation and independence. Activities may include bush cooking, fishing, wildlife observation, environmental exploration, outdoor problem-solving and citizen science projects.
Wild Skills is particularly suited to participants who engage best through hands-on experiences rather than traditional classroom-style settings. Sessions can be delivered one-on-one or in small groups and are tailored to individual interests, goals and support needs.
A developing focus of the program is participation in simple citizen science projects, giving participants opportunities to contribute to genuine environmental observations and community knowledge while building practical skills and confidence.

Our missing is to open the wonder of SCUBA diving to individuals with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities and allow them to participate in underwater activities.
🔹 Training & Education - We offer a range of certification courses, based around the DDI (Disabled Divers International) protocols. The core teaching agency standards we use are SDI (Sport Divers International) and PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors).
🔹 Pool Diver - Designed for those individuals who wish to partake in SCUBA activities but cannot or do not wish to venture into the open ocean.
🔹 Snorkel Diver - Designed for those individuals who wish to experience the wonders of the open ocean but cannot or do not wish to dive beneath its surface.
🔹 SCUBA diver – A reduced, yet certified, SCUBA program which allows individuals to SCUBA dive beneath the surface. Certified individuals will need to dive with an appropriately trained and certified dive instructor.

🔹 Rehabilitation - We believe that using SCUBA can greatly improve an individuals’ physical and mental wellbeing. The effects of gravity are greatly reduced, allowing for gentler but more effective rehabilitation exercises.
We offer bespoke programs, designed around the client’s specific needs, to ensure that physical, mental, or emotional goals are clearly articulated and planned out.
Improvements are measured against a set baseline. Course durations depend entirely upon the requirements and objectives of each program.
🔹 Health & Wellbeing - We believe that a health mind and healthy nutrition improve a diver’s wellbeing and increases their enjoyment of the diving, whilst minimizing risks underwater.
An 8-week well-being program consisting of 2hrs per week, group sessions. Small groups of up to 6 people. Each session builds on the last.
The aim is to teach participants an accessible and evidence-based stress management technique together with education and life skills to achieve better mental and physical well-being.

Aspire golf is a dedicated ALL ABILITIES golf coaching business giving lessons across Far North Queensland.
Coach Graham Bolton has specialist training and extensive experience in helping people from all parts of the disability community to learn to play golf.
This has seen people with physical and cognitive impairment be able to learn and play golf as a sport.
For those with a physical impairment Graham is able to utilise the Para-golfer wheelchair if required. This specialist piece of equipment allows people such as those with severe mobility issues, paraplegics or stroke sufferers to be able to actively learn and play golf. This can be a real game changer for those able to use the Para-golfer.

AFL Cairns is pleased to announce a first of it's kind for the league, a disability inclusion program. Across the 2026 Season, AFL Cairns will host 5 participation activation events at Cazalys Stadium on a Saturday Morning and 5 Club Immersion Days, where participants will engage in modified games during half time of the Senior Men’s Match.
The program is designed to give participants living with an intellectual disability, or whereby a program currently offered is inaccessible, the opportunity to engage in AFL as well as get involved in community football and immerse themselves within our community clubs. The program will encompass a variety of activities to teach the fundamentals of the game through game-based learning, inspiring team work and promote an active and healthy lifestyle through sport.

Founder Ewan has worked in aged and disability care since 2007. His pathway into disability support became deeply personal when he employed a young man living with cerebral palsy named Phillip.
Over the years, Phillip and Ewan’s working relationship grew into a lifelong friendship, and the holidays they shared together became the moments Ewan looked forward to most. Those trips (the planning, the anticipation, and the joy of getting out and doing something meaningful) planted the original idea for BucketList Dreamtime. Phillip Brown, a mate who helped shape the heart of what this business stands for.

Sport4All is dedicated to enhancing inclusivity, driving positive change and embracing diversity in grassroots sport. A local Sport4All Inclusion coach works with local sporting clubs, schools and communities to help grow their confidence and capability, so they are more welcoming and inclusive, ensuring that everyone, including people with disability, can enjoy the benefits of sport where, when and how they choose.
What’s Involved?
With the support of a local Cairns-based Sport4All Inclusion Coach, schools, sporting clubs, and community groups will be guided through the 3-step Sport4All program. It will equip them with the knowledge, tools, and practical strategies to include more people with disability in all aspects of their sport.
Sport4All was designed and is delivered by people with disability and is FREE for sports clubs, schools and community groups to participate. It is fully funded by the Australian Government and brought to life by Get Skilled Access—a disability consultancy founded by Paralympian, Grand Slam tennis champion, and 2022 Australian of the Year, Dylan Alcott AO

Speciality Outdoor Experiences
Planning, implementation and support through individual disability outdoor experiences such as days at the beach, kayaking in different locations, day trips to local attractions. hinterland waterfall tours, hikes through the rain forest, mountain biking, frisbee, golf and many more.
Assistance and support on externally organised day trips and experiences such as reef trips, canyoning, white water rafting,
Support, organisation and implementation of short term accomodations (STAs)
Life Skills and Weekly Recreation Support
Weekly support and companionship with an activity focus including cooking lessons, shopping support and daily home tasks
Planning, implementation and support through outdoor experiences
Working alongside occupational therapists, physio therapists and exercise physiologists for rehabilitation and physical capacity building
Long term consistent physical exercise

Assistance and support with community engagement activities
The regional representative body for Football (soccer) in Far North Queensland, home to over 4000+ registered players, coaches and managers with competitions from U6 all the way to open mens and ladies across several different grades and divsions. The entire family can enjoy the world game – girls, boys, mums and dads – everyone can play!

All Inclusive Junior Blaster and Master Blaster programs are run right across Far North Queensland. Activities are played with low impact equipment and can be modified to ensure participants of all skills and abilities get a fantastic Cricket experience.
