Cairns Disability Network Expo 2024 Form

Tuesday, 27 August 2024, 9am to 5pm
Pier Marketplace Shopping Centre, Cairns City

The annual Cairns Disability Expo will again be run by a volunteer committee of Cairns Disability Network (CDN) members and is seeking Expressions of Interest from services interested in participating in this annual event to be held at the Pier Marketplace Shopping Centre at the Esplanade, Cairns City from 9am to 5pm (inclusive) on Tuesday 27 August 2024.

This event is widely regarded as the premier disability services expo for the Far North Queensland region and is well supported by providers. The aim of the expo is to increase awareness of supports, services and resources for people living with disability, their families and carers, within the Cairns and FNQ region.

NDIS and non-NDIS (mainstream and community services, supports and resources) are encouraged to exhibit, including disability and carer support groups, NFPs, advocacy and government services and supports.

Although the event is also a wonderful opportunity for providers to interact and connect, it is not a networking event (CDN runs networking events during the year) and the focus should be on offering interesting and interactive opportunities for attendees to raise awareness and maximise the attendee experience.

There are some limits placed on the number of services that can participate and as such, preference will be given to services with a physical presence in and around the Cairns and Far North Queensland region.

Event Notes:

  • Exhibitors are expected to have a presence at the expo for the full duration of the event (9am to 5pm), and you will need to plan for this to occur. Any pack up prior to the end time will be noted for future events.
  • PUBLIC LIABILITY:  Your space can not be confirmed without a copy of your Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency (this MUST cover the date 27/08/24 and you will not be offered a space if this is not provided). Therefore, you may express your EOI today and we will add you to the list as PENDING but we will not chase you up for the Certificate of Currency document. If we have not received this by 30/07/24 (emailed to, your space may be offered to someone on the waitlist. A Public Liability Certificate of Currency is ESSENTIAL and we will NOT be following up. There are three options in the form below to address the provision of the PL document – if you do not upload a valid document today, please ensure you set a reminder to meet your obligations in plenty of time for the event. Thank you for your understanding.
  • There are no stallholder fees for participation and no entry fees to attend the expo.
  • This EOI form does not guarantee you a stallholder place at the event. You will be contacted to confirm your place within approx. 2-4 weeks of application.
  • No furniture is supplied. You will need to supply your own table (up to a standard 1.8m plastic fold up table or equivalent per stall) and up to 2 chairs, display banners and all marketing materials and giveaways (all to be contained within the stall area and not in front of the stall).
  • Stallholders are encouraged to share a table where this is appropriate (please indicate in the form below). This enables us to showcase a greater number of service providers and hence, provide a richer experience for our attendees.
  • Set up is generally not available the day before the event however Assistive Technology companies may make special application to store items from Monday 26/8/24 – please indicate in the Notes section in below application.
  • To increase opportunities for engagement with attendees, you are strongly encouraged to provide an interactive activity or similar at your stand. If you intend to do so, please indicate this in the form below.
