What’s the Buzz? is an evidence-based program now used in more than 130 countries to teach young people social and emotional intelligence. It is based on the S.A.F.E. criteria, which permits maximum opportunity for the skills taught to transfer across into other situations.
The program has become a required text for teachers, counsellors, psychologists, social work and youth workers in training at many Universities worldwide.

The Zones of Regulation Program. The lessons and learning activities are designed to help the students recognize when they’re in the different Zones (states of alertness/moods) as well as learn how to use strategies to regulate the Zone they are in. In addition to addressing self-regulation, the students will be gaining an increased vocabulary of emotional terms, skills in reading facial expressions, perspective on how others see and react to their behaviour, insight on events that trigger their behaviour, calming and alerting strategies, and problem solving skills. Alex Kelly’s internationally renowned TALKABOUT books are a series of practical workbooks designed to develop the self-awareness, self-esteem, and social skills of people with special needs. These books can be used at home with parent/carer or your Occupational Therapist, Speech therapist of in any education setting. These really are terrific books, and I’ve only just shown a few here.
