My name is Nicolette and I work as an artist, graphic & web designer, educator & Independent creative support worker out of my studio Tropica Store and Studio. I have a passion for using creativity as a tool to support and ignite growth in people & I believe art making in its different forms is a great tool to support people through life. I offer creative support services out of my studio space which gives clients the opportunity to use creative outlets in a range of mediums while also creating within a professional artist environment. Clients are able to choose if they want to learn with a designed lesson plan with creative outcomes or use the space as an open studio environment where we play creatively without focusing on a structured outcome.
"I have spent over 10 years in the creative industries with the last two years focusing on education and sharing my skills and knowledge. I have a particular interest in mental health through lived experience and study. I’m passionate about advocating and providing spaces that are inclusive, where people can be themselves and have a right to self-determination."

I service the Cairns region, my studio is located in Gordonvale, but I also offer home visits and transport to and from my studio.

We run Social groups for both adults and kids to help support and grow connections within our community.
We also offer support both in and out of the home as well as respite, employment assistance, transitioning life stages.
Current Social groups - Lego - Minecraft Gaming - Bowling - Cooking - Arts and Crafts - Photography - Board games - Fishing - Hiking.
Our Afterschool Kids Social Groups have had a slight update, with the introduction of a brand new “Kids in the Community” group.
This new group gives participants the opportunity to head out in the van and explore the community, getting involved in fun, real-world activities outside of the hub. Each session will be different, allowing the kids to experience new environments, build confidence, and develop their social skills in natural settings.
We've just introduced 7 brand new programs, alongside our much-loved Bowling and Social Groups-creating more opportunities than ever for our participants to learn, connect, and grow.

At Beyond Daily Life, we recognise and value the uniqueness of each client.
Our goal is to provide tailored support that meets our clients where they are at in their journey. At Beyond Daily Life, we provide wrap-around care to empower individuals towards a promising future by understanding their unique needs and aspirations.
We aim to support participants by providing several different services: 1:1 Individual Support, Group-based supports via our social support groups, as well as a mental health counselling service, offered by our in-house Counsellor.
We provide supports in the wider Cairns region - 1:1 support services are typically offered in-home as well as in the Cairns community, our group-based support service is facilitated at our Centre in Cairns City, and counselling is offered both at the centre, as well as via tele-health.
