Our Cairns Physiotherapists offer in clinic appointments, as well as home visits from Edmonton to Palm Cove (with capacity to service Innisfail & Yarrabah with sufficient participants). - our Physiotherapist Clara also has basic AUSLAN knowledge.

We also offer 1;1 hydrotherapy in several Cairns pools, as well as in clinic Rehab Exercise classes, Clinical Pilates, Osteoporosis/ Osteopenia classes.  Our clinical interest areas include, but are not limited to, kids & adults neurological rehabilitation (MS, post stroke, developmental delay, Cerebral Palsy, mental health concerns, poor mobility, Parkinson’s disease and more), vestibular rehabilitation (for vertigo, dizziness, motion sickness and balance issues), post concussion syndrome/ traumatic brain injury, pain management, DMA Clinical Pilates, Craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, stretching and more. We tailor our services to meet your specific needs. We are Cairns only Complete Concussions Clinic and our Cairns Dizziness Clinic provides specialist care for people with Vertigo and Dizziness.

We provide in clinic, as well as home visit Physiotherapy and AT script writing in our Cooktown clinic, as well as in Hopevale & Wujal Wujal.

Our Exercise Physiologist Kate works with clients of all ages to improve their strength, mobility & function in our in-clinic Rehab Gym @ 80-86 Abbott Street. She works in school hours Tuesday- Thursday.

🔹 Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapist in Cairns, Jesse, sees older teenagers through to adults for neurological rehabilitation, with some FCAs and limited home mods.
Occupational therapist in Cairns is Ranjitta, who works with kids in clinic ( 30 Scott St, Cairns)
Our Cooktown Occupational Therapist, Chloe, sees kids through adults via Telehealth and in person, with some FCA reporting also.

My name is Tjana, I am an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and the sole owner/operator at The Rehab Effect Cairns & Mareeba.

I offer AEP services for NDIS participants in the Cairns region, 2 days per week  and servicing Mareeba.  I also in-clinic gym sessions and Hydrotherapy in Mareeba (Mareeba pool) and Cairns (Tobruk Memorial pool).

About me:
I am a Mareeba girl at heart, completed schooling, both primary and secondary in Mareeba. I moved to Cairns to complete my degree of Exercise Physiology (clinical) at JCU Cairns/Townsville. I have always been very passionate about health and fitness and love to see clients improving physically and mentally and most importantly, always keep them smiling. Even though I may not get a smile during those hard exercises!

In the Cairns region I will be undertaking in-home Exercise Physiology for participants from Port Douglas to Babinda and anywhere in between.
In the Mareeba region I am undertaking both in-home and in-clinic Exercise Physiology for participants.
Travel costs will be associated with in-home services.

Currently I am a non-registered NDIS provider and hold a yellow & blue card.

Exercise Physiology sits in the 'Capacity building’ support budget under two categories:
1. Improved health and wellbeing
2. Improved daily living

WELCOME ~ Regina is an experienced and caring independent support worker and yoga teacher based in the northern beaches in Cairns.

Here are some details about Regina and her services:

🌿 Cairns resident since 2008.

🌿 Worked in the Disability Sector for 12+ years (part thereof with ARC Disability in respite care, the Hub, SIL and 1:1 supports).

🌿 Since July 2020 fully independent Support Worker/Yoga Teacher with all current and required credentials for such engagements.

🌿 Certificate IV & 500-hour Yoga Alliance accredited Yoga Teacher, specialised in 1:1 yoga therapy sessions for people of all abilities in the comfort of their home.

🌿 Specialised in active supports: Yoga, gym sessions, walking/hiking, bike riding (car with bike rack), hydrotherapy exercises, swimming, snorkelling…

🌿 Other supports offered: community access and engagement, art, cooking and goal related activities (i.e. supported employment, transport training etc.).

🌿 Extensive experience with people with autism and down syndrome as well as with people experiencing chronic pain and mental health or emotional challenges.

🌿 In her early 50s, Regina brings a sense of calm, genuine care and light-heartedness to her supports.
