Kids Social Abilities have created a social group for kids with disabilities to engage in afternoon Lego Play. Our group members will be learning and practicing coordination, social skills and creating friendships all while having fun.
Unfortunately many kids with disabilities fine it hard to make new friends, and to find social groups that they enjoy out of school. We believe that everyone should have the chance to make friends while being the group who share similar interest. We feel that doing this in a calm and friendly environment will help kids to group and expand their social abilities.

Hayley Leonardi, a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association, having recently completed a Masters of Guidance and Counselling at James Cook University. I am also a secondary teacher, with experience in teaching students with Special Needs, a skill I am able to utilise when working with NDIS participants.
Having many years of experience in helping individuals navigate through life's challenges, Hayley believes that everyone deserves to live a happy, fulfilled life, and she is passionate about helping people achieve that. Her approach is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. She offers a safe and confidential space where participants can share their thoughts, feelings, and concerns without fear of criticism or rejection.
Although we know that counselling is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach to healing, Hayley specialises in Person-centred therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and is committed to helping your participants overcome any obstacles that may prevent them from living their best life. She uses evidence-based techniques to help gain insight, develop coping skills, and make positive changes in your participants lives.
Hayley is based at Life Ur Way’s office in the Innisfail Food Emporium Wednesdays and Thursdays, and happy to visit you in your home or wherever you are most comfortable. Please do not hesitate to contact her if you would like more information or just a chat about her services and how she can help your participants.
