Nurse Next Door Cairns is an NDIS registered provider specialising in high-intensity and complex disability supports delivered under strict nursing oversight and clinical governance.
All supports are delivered within a robust clinical framework, with registered nurse oversight embedded into day-to-day service delivery. This includes clinical risk management, competency-based training, ongoing supervision, and adherence to relevant NDIS Practice Standards for high-intensity supports.
We support participants with complex health needs, including seizure management, tracheostomy care, diabetes management, dysphagia support, enteral feeding, and medication management. Peris, with her experience as a disability support worker and broad background as a Registered Nurse, brings clinical expertise especially in mental health, alcohol and other drugs and aged care.
Edwin, with 13 years in youth and disability sector, has extensive experience working with individuals with Autism, complex trauma, behaviours of concern, physical and intellectual disability. Edwin is in his final year of studying his Bachelor of Social Work and is passionate about working with children and young adults.
Together, they lead a group of caring experts each offering unique skills and a compassionate approach to their work. Beyond credentials, our team’s dedication is to building enduring relationships and fostering an inclusive environment where each member feels respected, supported, understood, and empowered to reach their full potential.
